In 2022, the most common destination for people emigrating from Norway was the neighbor Sweden. Nearly 3,000 people emigrated from Norway to Sweden that year. The second most common destination country was Denmark, followed by Poland. Moreover, the destination of over 14,000 of the people who emigrated was unknown. After having fallen below 27,000, the number of emigrants from Norway reached over 32,000 in 2022.
